Justice Puneet Gupta, Judge of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh (Administrative Judge District Kargil), inaugurated the e-Sewa Kendra  and e-Inaugurated the Knowledge Hub, Book Bank cum Reading Room at Zanskar on June 12.

Present at the inauguration were Malik Shabir Ahmad, Principal District and Sessions Judge Kargil; Shrikant Suse, Deputy Commissioner Kargil; Shree Ram R, SSP Kargil; Shafiq Mushtaq Lone, Munsiff/JMIC Sankoo, and other district officers. Romil Singh Donk, SDM Zanskar, and Mohd Hassan, Tehsildar Zanskar, participated virtually in the inauguration of the Knowledge Hub.

The e-Sewa Kendra provides the general public with information on their court cases across India, including case status, next dates, and uploaded orders. It also facilitates litigants and lawyers in obtaining certified copies of orders and judgments.

The Knowledge Hub, initiated by the Legal Services Authority and established by the Tehsil Legal Services Committee in collaboration with District/Sub-Divisional Administration, offers a Book Bank cum Reading Room. It houses books from various fields, particularly aiding students in preparation for competitive exams.

Justice Puneet Gupta later inspected all courts at the Old District Court Complex, Kargil, and met with members of the District Bar Association Kargil, led by President Reyaz Ahmad Khan. He also visited the New District Court Complex in Kurbathang, Kargil, overseeing construction progress and issuing directives for its swift completion. He urged the concerned agency to expedite the work to ensure the timely establishment of the Court Complex.
