JKEDI trains 59 aspiring entrepreneurs in Kargil

To provide an opportunity to the unemployed youth Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), Kargil organised three-week Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) under Seed Capital Fund Scheme and Youth Startup Loan Scheme in which 59 aspiring entrepreneurs including eighteen females passed out on June 15.
The aspiring entrepreneurs have chosen various activities to start their entrepreneur journey.
The main objective of the Entrepreneurship Development Program was to help the participants and to imbibe the required entrepreneurial and managerial skills.
Mohsin Ali, Executive Councilor, LAHDC) for Health, Industries & Commerce, Kargil, was the Chief Guest at the valediction function while Nazir Hussain, Deputy Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, Kargil was the guest of honor.
District Nodal Officer JKEDI Kargil, Yash highlighted various schemes which are being implemented by JKEDI for the welfare of youths.
Entrepreneurs also shared their views regarding the 21-days long training provided by JKEDI & also shared different aspect and opportunities in the various field, yet to explore in District Kargil.
Mohsin Ali lauded JKEDI Kargil for organizing such Programs time to time and providing a platform for the un-employed youths of Kargil.
Nazir Hussain stressed on the need of skill development programs and inspired the participants to become entrepreneurs and create jobs rather than seeking one. He further said that there is no substitute for hard work, dedication & honesty.
The function concluded with Vote of Thanks by Gulzar Ali, District Coordinator and Mohd Ali, District Coordinator, JKEDI Kargil.
