Jamyang Tsering Namgyal visits Phyang constituency
During the extensive tour of Phyang Constituency, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, CEC visited MES Colony/Urgainling, Sonamling, Dambuchan, Ghaphiling, Upper Choglamsar, Palam, Spituk- Pharka, Phey and Phyang villages on January 2.
Jamyang Tsering Namgyal said that besides reviewing the progress of ongoing developmental activities, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal CEC the purpose of the tour is to bring key executing officers at the doorstep of the people to know the ground reality and to resolve their important issues on spot.
Tsering Sandup, EC Health, Mumtaz Hussain, EC Minorities Punchok Dorjey, Councillor, Phyang, HODs, concerned engineers and officials headed by Tashi Dolma, JD Education Ladakh, and S.K Pandita, SE PWD Leh were also present.
Jamyang Tsering Namgyal assured to address maximum demands and issues of people at the earliest and strong follow-up of major demands concerning with State and Centre governments.
A deadline was given to all the concerned departments for completion of genuine demands at the earliest.
He reviewed the progress of ongoing developmental works of Sonamling, Dambuchan and MES Colony at community hall MES Colony.
People of MES Colony area demanded proper allotment of land to the inhabitants of the area and redressal of power problems.
JTN directed Naib Tehsildar Leh to put up the land allotment case file to Council at the earliest. Regarding streamlining of power supply, he directed AEE PDD to work on a permanent solution of the problem and by then to find a temporary solution in 10 days.
At Ghaphiling, he directed Xen. PHE to resolve drinking water problem at the earliest and Naib Tehsildar Leh to identify land for construction of community hall for the village.
While addressing to the people at Upper- Choglamsar, he took up the inclusion of this highly populated area in a Panchyat Halqa with concerned higher authorities and regarding construction of community hall and ration store, he directed Rural Dev. Dept. to make an estimate of the building so that funds would be arranged accordingly. AEE PDD was asked to make a survey of the area for installation of an additional transformer to resolve the low voltage in this area.
In Palam, Spituk-Farka and Phey villages, he directed Naib Tehsildar Leh to put up the Igoo –Phay Command area land distribution case to the villages to Council at the earliest and assured for early action on it.
He informed that a motorable bridge over Indus River at Palam has been approved by State Level Approval Committee under Mega Project ERA and submitted at Centre Govt. for funding.
Punchok Dorjey , Councillor Phyang also projected the demands of people and apprised public about the upcoming developmental activities of Hill Council.
