The ICDS project Kharu celebrated Poshan Pakhwada at Anganwadi Centre (AWC) Shara Phuktsey on March 20.

The event was attended by the Medical Officer ICDS, Block Coordinator, Female Multi-Purpose Health Workers, Supervisors, and all women in the age group of 15 -45.

Dr Padma Angmo spread awareness about exclusive breastfeeding, Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF), and antenatal care.

Additionally, Block Coordinator, Tsering Dolma also educated the participants on wholesome food and the benefits of millet for nutritional well-being. Furthermore, Health check-ups and the growth of children were also monitored and anaemia testing was also carried out.
