In order to provide firsthand information to the tourist and to promote tourism in Kargil, the Tourism Department LAHDC Kargil has released a tourist map of Kargil district containing detail information about popular tourist spots, heritage sites and historical monuments and important trekking routes in the district on 5 June.

The map has been released by the Chairman Legislative Council ,J&K Haji Anayat Ali in presence of Executive Councillor for Agriculture and Zanskar Affairs LAHDC Kargil Tsering Angdus, Deputy Commissioner Kargil Kacho Hassan Khan, Ex CEC Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan and several district officers and others related to tourism industry.
Haji Anayat Ali on this occasion announced to extend any kind of help and possible efforts for promoting tourism in the district.

He also assured that Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed himself is very keen in promoting Tourism in Kargil district and for which Drass, Kargil, Sankoo, Tai Suru and Batalik region will be promoting by the J&K Tourism Department as new Tourist Destinations.

On this occasion, Executive Councillor and Deputy Commissioner also interacted with the people.

Earlier the Chairman J&K Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali along with deputy Commissioner Kargil Kacho Hassan Khan conducted a detailed inspection of the district Hospital Kargil.

Haji Anayat Ali interacted with the patients and staff during the visit and called a meeting with the doctors.
He appreciated the system prevailing in the hospital and announced to provide Rs 30 Lakh from his constituency development fund for purchasing equipment for Operation Theatre and other units.

On this occasion, he paid Rs 20,000, from his pocket for purchasing UPS for Ultrasound machine and also announced to provide an ambulance for Changchik Masjid from where expired patients are taken to respective villages.
