Govt. High School Garkone celebrates annual day function with full enthusiasm on May 19 in Garkhone.
Cultural programme and many other activities were also presented by the students.
A play "Kasafat Kuli Urff Pollution" on the theme of 'The ill effects of pollution' was showcased on the occasion.
Mehfoz Ali Khan said that the gathering has been organised with the objectives to promote close interaction among the students, parents and teachers, so as to make the teaching process in the school more effective and result oriented.
He requested the higher authorities to provide Bhoti teacher in the institution. He also pointed out the issues related to schools like shortage of teaching and non-teaching staff and school infrastructure. He urged the Additional Deputy Commissioner and Chief Education Officer to personally intervene into the matter so that the issues are resolved at the earliest possible.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mosis Kunzang said that this is the ideal platform to give opportunities for the children to discover their hidden talents. He also assured to take up the issues of the school with Deputy Commissioner Kargil for immediate redressal.
Chief Education Officer Kargil, Tsewang Punchok highlighted the need of proactive contribution of all the stakeholders in the education process of the children, parents, teachers, youths as well as the elders of the society so as to ensure the holistic development of the children. He also announced ₹ 5,000 to the institution.
In the end, prizes were distributed among the students.
