GDC Zanskar flags off students for week-long educational tour to Nubra
Government Degree College (GDC) Zanskar flagged off its 5th-semester students for a week-long educational tour to Nubra Valley on September 24.
Principal Mohd Ishaq, along with the college staff, officiated the flag-off from the college premises. The tour is designed to enrich students' learning experiences by providing practical exposure to the cultural, geographical, and historical significance of the region.
During the tour, students will have the opportunity to visit various notable sites, including HIAL (Himalayan Institute of Alternatives), Leh Palace, museums, DIHAR (Defence Institute of High Altitude Research), and other locations of historical and cultural importance.
The tour will be supervised by Dr. Abid Hussain, Assistant Professor of Zoology; Dr. Syed Waqir, Faculty of History; and Thupstan Dolkar, Faculty of Environmental Science.
The college administration believes that the tour will offer substantial benefits, not only enhancing students' academic knowledge but also contributing to their personal and professional development.
This experience is expected to foster overall growth, providing students with valuable exposure to new environments, cultures, and practical learning opportunities beyond the classroom.
