The Forest Department Nyoma celebrated World Forests Day at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) School on March 21.

Village Education Committee Chairman, Spenba Tsering and Range Forest Officer, Tsewang Dorjey, graced the occasion.

Highlighting the importance, the Forest Department organised painting competitions for students under the theme 'Forest and Innovation: New Solutions for a Better World'.

Prizes were also distributed to the winners, acknowledging their artistic endeavors and commitment to sustainability.

In line with the Forest Department's commitment to environmental conservation, several trees were also planted during the event.This initiative reflects the collective effort towards nurturing a greener and healthier environment for future generations.
