Five-day Health & Wellness program commences at DIET Leh
The Medical Department, Leh, in collaboration with DIET Leh, launched the 10th batch of a five-day Health & Wellness program from November 28 to December 2.
This initiative is part of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) aimed at enhancing the health of school children in Leh district.
The training program includes 31 Health and wellness School Ambassadors who will undergo comprehensive sessions over the course of five days. Present at the inauguration were Dr. Jammila Bano, District Immunization Officer, Leh; Dr. Padma Angmo, State Nodal Officer for Mental Health; and Chetan Dorjey, Principal of DIET Leh.
Simultaneously, DIET Leh organised a virtual Core Group meeting for the School Leadership Academy. Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Educational Planning & Administration (NIEPA), Dr. Charu Malik, was the resource person for the session. The orientation program was attended by 11 Heads of Institutions and DIET faculty members. CEO Leh, Sonam Dorjey Namgail, and DEPO Sonam Wangchuk also joined the session virtually.
During the event, Principal DIET Leh, Chetan Dorjey, highlighted the significance of leadership qualities among the heads of institution. He also presented the progress report for the current year carried out by SLA Ladakh.
