Essay competition marks Ayushman Pakhwada celebrations in Kargil
Commemorating the 6th anniversary of Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) and the 3rd anniversary of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), the State Health Agency (SHA) of Ladakh, in collaboration with ABDM Ladakh, organized an essay competition as part of Ayushman Pakhwada at Boys Higher Secondary School, Baroo, Kargil on September 23.
Students from various schools, including HS Baroo, HS Minjee, HS Poyen, HS Goma Kargil, Girls HSS Kargil, Boys HSS Kargil, and HSS Chanigond, participated in the competition.
The program aimed to encourage students to express their thoughts on how AB-PMJAY and ABDM have impacted families and promoted access to quality healthcare services. Ayushman Pakhwada commenced on September 20 and will continue until September 30, 2024.
On the anniversary day, Ayushman Card creation camps and Ayushman Chuapal/Sabhas were organized at block headquarters to spread awareness about AB-PMJAY and ABDM among the general public, engaging local village representatives through healthcare workers.
Mohadisa Batool from GMH School Goma Kargil secured 1st place in the essay competition, while Sadia Bilques from Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kargil took 2nd place, and Fatima Nissa from the same school earned 3rd place. The winners were awarded mementos of appreciation.
