Education department Kargil distributes laptops and tablets to meritorious students in Zanskar zone
The Education Department of Kargil recently organized a two-day training program for teachers in the Zanskar Zone, focusing on UDISE Plus and PFMS modules under the Samagra Shiksha initiative.
Mohd Shabir, in charge of Samagra, and Mohd Ali, UDISE in charge, led the training sessions. The program also saw the participation of S.D. Namgyal, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kargil. The Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Zanskar expressed gratitude to the CEO Kargil and the experts for organizing such a beneficial program.
During the valedictory function, CEO Kargil distributed laptops to meritorious students of Class 10th and 12th under the subsidy component of LAHDC Kargil and educational tablets to Class 9th students of the Zanskar Zone under the Yountab scheme of the UT Administration. The distribution ceremony was held in the presence of the Principal of HSS Padum, ZEO Zanskar, and teachers from the Zanskar Zone.
In his address, CEO Kargil emphasized the commitment of the Department of Education, LAHDC Kargil, and the Administration to providing essential facilities in terms of infrastructure, technology, and human resources. He encouraged students to use the laptops and tablets effectively to achieve their educational goals and urged teachers to work with sincerity and dedication to help students meet their learning objectives.
Mohd Shabir, Program Coordinator, thanked ZEO Zanskar and the trainees for their active participation, which contributed to the program's success. Following the training, CEO Kargil visited schools, KGBVs, Netaji Hostel, and various construction sites of buildings being executed under different schemes.
The CEO also interacted with teachers, community members, VECs, SMDCs, and contractors, urging the contractors to expedite the construction process given the short working season in the area.
