Deputy Commissioner/District Election Officer, Kargil, Shrikant Suse, inspected the arrangements for the distribution of election materials and the dispatch of polling parties ahead of the Lok Sabha polls on May 17.

The visit aimed to ensure the smooth distribution of election materials to polling parties and their transportation.

Detailed directions were issued for the smooth distribution process, inter-departmental coordination, welfare measures, and transportation of polling parties.

Three polling parties for Shadey, Ralakung, and Phema have reached their destinations via air sorties provided by the Indian Air Force. The remaining polling parties for Zanskar and one polling station in the Sankoo subdivision will be dispatched tomorrow.
