District administration Kargil trains polling staff for Thangdumbur by-election vote counting

The District Administration of Kargil organized a training session on October 8 for polling staff in preparation for the vote counting process for the by-election in the Thangdumbur Constituency of LAHDC, Kargil.

The training, held at NIC Kargil, aimed to ensure that the staff is thoroughly familiar with the necessary procedures and protocols to facilitate a smooth and efficient counting process.

Key topics covered during the program included the operation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and other electoral procedures to ensure that polling staff is fully prepared for a transparent and fair counting process on Counting Day, scheduled for October 9.

The training was led by District Level Master Trainers (DLMT) and Assistant Level Master Trainers (ALMT), with comprehensive instruction provided by the Master Trainer. The sessions focused on the proper use of EVMs, essential documentation requirements, and adherence to election protocols.

Additionally, the roles and responsibilities of the Returning Officer (RO), Assistant Returning Officer (ARO), and other polling staff were discussed, with emphasis on key duties and precautions to ensure a smooth and accurate counting process.
