Department of School Education conducts third phase of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Assessment Test
The third phase of the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Assessment Test (FLNAT) under ULLAS was successfully conducted across all zones in Leh district on March 17
The primary aim of the FLNAT Assessment was to achieve 100 % literacy in the district. It is a centrally sponsored scheme falling under the purview of Chief Education Officer.
Adult learners demonstrated active participation in the test.
It was further informed that the first and second NILP Assessment tests were conducted in 2023 and this marks the 3rd phase, with only 2% illiteracy left to address. FLNAT is an all India scheme and it was informed with great pride that Ladakh will become the first Union Territory in India to achieve full literacy one the remaining 2% literacy is addressed.
Director of the School Education Department, UT Ladakh, Tsering Paldan, Chief Education Officer, Leh, Sonam Angchuk, ZEO Leh, District Coordinator NILP Leh, Tsering Yangzom, Vigilator, Thinless Wangmo and PRI Members visited exam centres in Stok and Matho.
Tashigatsal Tashithongsmon also expressed satisfaction with the arrangements and the active engagement of learners. It was informed that all the concerned ZEOs and ZEPOs took the responsibility and supervised the exam centres of their respective zones.
