Delegation led by CRO, Tibetan settlement meets CEC, Hill Council, Leh
A delegation led by the Chief Representative Officer (CRO) of Tibetan settlement, Dhondup Tashi along with the appointed Members of Parliament (Chithue) for Ladakh under Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) viz. Gyeshe Aton Rinchen Gyaltsen and Pema Tso called on Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv Tashi Gyalson at Council Secretariat on July 5.
President, Local Tibetan Assembly, Dhondup Tsering was also present.
During the courtesy call, the MPs of CTA expressed their sincere and heartfelt gratitude towards the unflinching support, dedication, and hospitality extended towards His Holiness 14th Dalai Lama by the LAHDC Leh and the Ladakh Administration and the people of Ladakh. They also commended the support provided to the Tibetan community settled in Ladakh in terms of providing all the facilities and services.
CEC Gyalson shared that the Council and the people of Ladakh are forever blessed to extend hospitality and service to His Holiness and added that it's an opportunity and fortunate moment to be able to do the same.
Highlighting the dedication of the Hill Council towards the welfare of the Tibetan community, CEC Gyalson informed about the creation of a new portfolio dedicated to Tibetan Welfare under the Council cabinet headed by Executive Councillor Tashi Namgyal Yakzee.
He also added that the Council has extended the benefits of welfare schemes to the Tibetans and executed and proposed developmental plans such as the construction of Assembly Halls, Community Halls along with providing all basic amenities of roads, healthcare, drinking water, etc.
