A delegation from Alchi led by Councillor Khaltse Lobzang Sherap met Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, RK Mathur and raised several issues related to the development of Alchi village. 
The delegation includes Sarpanch, Naib Sarpanch and Nambardar of Alchi village.

Councillor Khaltse raised several issues related to the development of Alchi village, viz. intervention in exemption of fee for electricity used by the submersible pump for the drip and sprinkler project in Alchi, intervention in the construction of the road from Alchi to Alchi Dok to enable the resettlement of inhabitants and cultivation of agricultural fields, sanctioning of solar water lifting pumps for irrigation of fields, etc.

The delegation apprised of the large-scale drip and sprinkler irrigation project in Alchi being developed on around 550 kanals of land to irrigate the fields. They also informed that the land was distributed among 129 families and requested that the land allotment papers may be distributed among them early.
