DC Leh Santosh Sukhadeve reviews progress of BSNL’s 4G saturation project
Deputy Commissioner, Santosh Sukhadeve, chaired a meeting to review the progress of the 4G saturation project undertaken by BSNL in the VC Conference Room on May 31.
The meeting provided a comprehensive overview of the ongoing implementation of the project, focusing on various aspects such as the number of tower sites sanctioned, land allotment status, civil work progress, hold site issues and challenges faced.
The project's primary objective is to bolster digital connectivity across Ladakh, ensuring seamless access to high-speed 4G internet services.
Discussions during the meeting revolved around evaluating the current status of the project and devising strategies to overcome obstacles hindering its smooth execution.
DC also addressed key challenges that have hampered project progress, including the unavailability of materials due to road closures, harsh weather conditions, and logistical issues. These challenges have posed significant hurdles, delaying the project's timeline.
Furthermore, Deputy Commissioner issued specific directives, highlighting the critical need for timely data provision to effectively monitor the progress of the project on a weekly basis, ensuring accountability and maintaining momentum.
The meeting stressed the commitment to expediting the completion of the 4G saturation project.
The meeting was attended by Superintendent Engineer,PWD ,Dorjey Gyatso, Divisional Engineer,Tsering Angchuk, IT Consultant,Kumar Amit and BSNL Vendor.
