Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve assessed implementation of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme progress in the district on  December 1.

The meeting was attended by Gen Manager DIC; Executive Officer, MC Leh; Superintendent Handloom, Leh; Assistant Director Handicraft, Leh; District Manager, CSC Leh. Besides, all the BDOs attended the meeting virtually.

Assistant Commissioner Development, Leh informed that 32 beneficiaries had already been registered under the PM Vishwakarma scheme. Furthermore, a total of 243 beneficiaries have been identified for the scheme.

Emphasizing the need for proactive measures, DC Leh Santosh Sukhadeve issued directives to the District Panchayat Officer, Leh to identify 85 Sarpanches by December 4, emphasising the importance of timely and efficient execution of the scheme.

He directed the Block Development Officer (BDO) Leh to expedite the Aadhar updation process on a fast-track basis to ensure that beneficiaries seamlessly integrate into the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. He emphasized the importance of saturating the scheme to support local artisans and fostering economic growth through the scheme.
