DC Leh discusses progress of Jal Jeevan Mission in Leh
Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve discussed the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in Leh district on December 5.
He reviewed the village-wise advancements, taking stock of both pending and completed work on all JJM initiatives. The assessment included an in-depth analysis of projects in villages such as Diskit, Khaltse, Kharu, Skurbuchan, and Turtuk, providing a comprehensive overview of the mission's reach and impact.
Officials present at the meeting briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the physical progress of JJM projects in the concerned villages, detailing the status of pending work and any challenges encountered during the execution.
In response to the updates, DC Leh issued directions to all officials involved, emphasizing the need for regular reviews of ongoing projects. He urged them to proactively address any issues that may impede progress and expedite the resolution of pending work related to JJM projects.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Superintending Engineer of PHE Leh, Executive Engineer of PHE Division Leh, as well as all Assistant Executive Engineers from PHE Division. Additionally, Assistant Executive Engineers from Nyoma/Nubra and Khaltse Sub Division played an integral role in the discussions, showcasing the collaborative effort to drive the success of the Jal Jeevan Mission in Leh district.
