Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve deliberated on the progress and implementation of the ongoing 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' in the Leh district on November 23.

ADDC, Leh, Sonam Nurboo provided a comprehensive update on the overall progress of the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp.  He added that 13 Gram Panchayats have been covered, attracting the participation of 1676 individuals. Also, the health camp organised during the VBSY camp successfully screened 1071 people.

The meeting also highlighted the socio-cultural impact of the initiative, with 155 awards conferred upon women, 154 on students, and 74 recognizing the achievements of local sports persons and 22 local artists. Furthermore, 63 registrations for the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) have been successfully completed.

In terms of administrative achievements, he informed that four Gram Panchayats have achieved 100% Ayushman card saturation, 11 Gram Panchayats with 100% Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) saturation, and three Gram Panchayats with 100% Jan Dhan Saturation. Additionally, four Gram Panchayats have achieved 100% digitalization of land records.
Deputy Commissioner, Sukhadeve directed the ADDC Leh, in collaboration with Block Development Officers (BDOs) and other stakeholders, to further enhance these figures.

Emphasizing the importance of timely information dissemination, he directed the concerned officers to upload data promptly on the designated portal.

DC Leh stressed the need for the saturation of all schemes, urging officials to elaborate on activities and extend the coverage of health camps. He also instructed a proactive approach in increasing public participation in PMUY registration.
