DC Leh chairs meeting on mobile telecom saturation in Phobrang village
A meeting to discuss the saturation of Mobile Telecommunications in Phobrang village was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve at VC Hall on November 23.
During the meeting, Councillor Chushul, Konchok Stanzin, provided a detailed overview of the current status of telecom services in Phobrang village, emphasizing the need for saturation to meet the growing communication demands of the local community.
He discussed various obstacles hindering the saturation process and sought potential solutions to ensure seamless connectivity for the villagers.
Highlighting the concerns faced by the residents, Councillor Stanzin shed light on the challenges posed by the existing telecommunication infrastructure. Issues such as network connectivity, signal strength, and limited coverage were brought to the forefront, underlining the necessity for immediate intervention to bridge the digital divide in this remote region.
DC Leh, Sukhadeve, acknowledging the importance of reliable telecommunication services, expressed his commitment to addressing the challenges faced by Phobrang village. He stressed the need for collaborative efforts between the local administration and telecommunication service providers to expedite the saturation process and ensure comprehensive coverage.
During the meeting, specific attention was also directed towards the status of Airtel services in Hemisshukpachan and Hanu. DC Leh enquired about the current state of Airtel services, recognizing the significance of multiple service providers in enhancing competition and improving the overall quality of telecommunication services in the region.
