DC Kargil reviews progress of school health and MR elimination programmes
Deputy Commissioner/CEO of LAHDC Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, chaired the quarterly review meeting of the School Health and Wellness Program and the District Task Force Committee for MR (Measles and Rubella) Elimination on September 3.
The meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Liyaqat Ali; Chief Education Officer SD Namgial; District Program Officer, ICDS, Nargis Banoo; Coordinator DIET, Dr. Villayat Ali; District Immunization Officer, Dr. Rubia Banoo; District Nodal Officer for SHWP, Dr. Abdul Jalil; District Program Officer Mohd Ishaq; and a representative from Baqaria Health Clinic, Kargil.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Suse reviewed the status of health and wellness camps conducted across all blocks and received progress reports from the concerned Block Medical Officers (BMOs) regarding vaccination efforts.
DC Kargil commended the stakeholders and field workers for their tireless contributions to improving health services in the district. He also directed the necessary improvements and updating of data to enhance program efficiency.
Dr. Abdul Jalil, District Nodal Officer for the School Health and Wellness Program, provided a detailed presentation on the program's status and developments.
Following this, Dr. Rubia Banoo, District Immunization Officer, presented an update on the MR elimination program, detailing its current status and outlining the future roadmap.
