Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, convened a meeting with heads of key departments and officials to review the preparations for the upcoming Dharti Aaba Abhiyan – Awareness and Benefit Saturation Camps, scheduled to be held across the district from June 15 to 30.

The campaign is being launched under two national initiatives — Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyaan (PM JANMAN) and Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DA JGUA) — with the objective of empowering tribal communities by ensuring the saturation of individual entitlements and enhancing awareness of government schemes at the grassroots level.

During the meeting, DC Suse emphasized that this campaign will go beyond traditional awareness drives by ensuring the direct, on-ground delivery of essential services to eligible beneficiaries in tribal and Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) habitations.

He highlighted that the benefit saturation camps will function as single-window platforms, providing access to services such as Aadhaar and ration cards, Ayushman Bharat cards, caste and domicile certificates, Kisan Credit Cards, financial inclusion schemes like Jan Dhan and PM-KISAN, insurance coverage under PMJJBY and PMSBY, social security pensions, employment and livelihood programs like MGNREGA, PM Vishwakarma, Mudra loans, and welfare benefits for women and children under schemes such as PMMVY and ICDS.

The Deputy Commissioner directed all departments to work in close coordination to ensure the campaign’s success. He instructed officials to prepare detailed micro-plans and camp calendars at the district level, and stressed the need to involve Common Service Centres (CSCs) for Aadhaar enrolment, e-KYC, and related documentation services.

He further directed that special focus be placed on identifying villages and habitations with service delivery gaps, ensuring that no eligible tribal family is left behind. The DC also called for real-time reporting and the establishment of robust monitoring mechanisms to track the number of beneficiaries reached during the campaign.

Underscoring the importance of departmental convergence, Suse urged active coordination between departments such as Health, Rural Development, Social Welfare, Revenue, Agriculture, and Panchayati Raj. He reiterated that collective and focused efforts are essential for the campaign’s success.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from all concerned departments, who expressed their commitment to ensuring last-mile delivery of services. The Dharti Aaba Abhiyan is set to become a landmark initiative in advancing the government's mission of creating a more inclusive and empowered tribal India.
