Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Santosh Sukhadeve reviewed the progress of expenditure achieved on different works under the District Capex Budget on February 25.

Details are sought from the officials of the respective departments regarding expenditure achieved till February 2023.

Officers from the concerned departments informed DC Kargil regarding the physical and financial progress achieved till now on the ongoing developmental works.

The Deputy Commissioner directed all the officers to complete the remaining developmental works at the earliest. He stressed upon the officers to achieve 100 percent expenditure this year. He further directed SDM Zanskar to surrender the unused fund and instructed the concerned officers to complete the tendering process at the earliest. Santosh directed the concerned to provide the biometric attendance lock for engineers and staff.

Concerned officers also informed the DC about the expenditure of machinery and subsidy component.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the district officers to accelerate the work pace and expedite the expenditure booking. He directed to frame of a committee of Panchayat Samiti and also stressed all Block Development Officers to make success stories of Amrit Sarovar.

DC Kargil also stressed for optimum utilization of funds during the current financial year and directed the officers to gear up their manpower and machinery to complete the developmental works within the stipulated timelines.

He further instructed the concerned officers not to send bills with the contractors to the treasury and also directed the concerned officers to book maximum expenditure under District Capex of the works as soon as possible.
