Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, met with Phunchok Angchuk, President of All Ladakh Daily Rated Workers (DRWs), and Stanzin Dorjey, Vice President, on February 25.

The representatives expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the CEC on behalf of all 1,900 Daily Rated Workers in various departments across UT Ladakh for the extension of benefits under the consolidated guidelines of the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).

This significant decision acknowledges the invaluable contributions of DRWs in maintaining essential services, providing them with enhanced job security, improved working conditions, and well-deserved recognition for their dedication.

CEC Tashi Gyalson extended his deep appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr.) BD Mishra (Retd.), for their support in realizing this long-awaited decision.

He also congratulated the workers and reaffirmed LAHDC Leh’s commitment to ensuring fair and progressive policies that uplift and empower Ladakh’s workforce.
