Counting on June 4: Election Officer reviews preparations ahead of Lok Sabha results
In the run-up to the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha polls, Leh District Election Officer Santosh Sukhadeve held a meeting on May 24 to review preparations at the Sindhu Sanskriti Kendra (SSK), where counting will be held on June 4.
Polling is underway for 543 parliamentary seats, with the last phase concluding on June 1.
Providing a layout for the arrangements, the DEO ordered officials to complete the preparations for counting by May 27.
The need for scanners and computers for preliminary counting, in addition to internet connectivity and back-up, was also discussed.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Sonam Nurboo, EVM Nodal Officer, Mohd Ayub Khan, and District Informatics Officer P.Paldan along with other officers and engineers from the concerned departments.
