Chief Planning Officer Leh discusses implementation of Vibrant Village Programme
Chief Planning Officer (CPO), Leh, Tsewang Gyalson discussed the implementation of Vibrant Village Programme at the VC Conference room, DC office Leh on June 1.
The meeting shed light on the projects under Vibrant Village Programme and convergence projects which includes under consideration, pending query compliance and projects recommended for approval by States/UT.
The meeting provided a review of the village profile alongside the progress of the Vibrant Village Programme. The meeting stressed the importance of updating the various changes in literacy rates, road connectivity, telecom connectivity, grid connectivity, and health infrastructure of every village.
Additionally, updates were also sought regarding the availability of common service centers, along with data on the sources of irrigation. Furthermore, the discussion extended to rural development initiatives, including the number of household toilets installed, as well as the status of school education and Anganwadi centers.
It also stressed the importance of centrally Sponsored schemes for propelling the ambitious rural development agenda forward.
All officials received clear directives to update the status of these schemes and the pending Detailed Project Reports (DPRs). Moreover, they were specifically instructed by the Chief Planning Officer (CPO), Leh, to ensure all the heads of various departments to submit the updated data without delay.
The meeting was attended by Superintending Engineer PWD, Superintending Engineer PHE/I&FC, Chief Education Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry, District Sheep Husbandry officer, Executive Engineer EDD, DYSSO, Assistant Director Tourism, Assistant Director Food, Lead Bank Manager, representative from BSNL and heads of other departments.
