To take stock of the physical and financial status of the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan Scheme being implemented in Leh district, a meeting was convened on January 5. 

Specific instructions to all the ZEOs was given out by Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, CEC for a timely expenditure of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan Scheme funds and achieving targeted physical achievements within the time period.

Jamyang Tsering Namgyal took the status of the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan Scheme zone wise.

Stressing on the importance of education, he directed Tashi Dolma, JD Education, and Konchok Angmo, CEO for preparing LAHDC Education Policy, guidelines for coordination with VECs, holding in annual Ladakh Education Conference and early launching of education department website.

Also, a direction was given to exercise and prepare a proposal for providing transport facility to the Government School students wherever feasible.

Jamyang Tsering Namgyal urged to further improve the quality of education in Leh district and assured all possible assistance from LAHDC, Leh.  

Tsering Angdus, AD Planning Education Department Leh and all the ZEOs of Leh district were also present.
