CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon reviewed the progress of major and minor projects taken up under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the district on November 14.

The meeting was attended by Executive Councilor, I&FC/PHE, Kacho Mohammad Feroz; Executive Councilor, PDD/Education, Zakir Hussain; Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse; SE PHE and I&FC, Maqbool Hussain; Executive Engineer PHE; Executive Engineer I&FC; Executive Engineer PDD; CEO Kargil; the concerned AEEs, JEs.

During the meeting, the status of major and minor projects under the JJM in the district was thoroughly discussed.

CEC and DC directed SE PHE & I&FC to resolve the pending issues and disputes regarding JJM works on a priority basis.

DC, Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse directed RD&PRD for immediate implementation of works regarding the construction of water disposal points during winter months.

During the discussion, SE PHE was instructed to identify major winter management zones which are to be taken on a priority basis. EC I&FC/PHE and DC Kargil raised the demand for an extension for JJM projects in district Kargil. In this regard, the CEC assured to take up the matter with the UT administration for favorable action.

CEC also stressed to the concerned officials to speed up the pace of work and complete the pending works at the earliest. He also emphasized maximizing fund utilization.
