The final phase of blacktopping carried out at various areas of Shenam-nallah, Taxi-stand, Maney-khang, Skampari, Lower Maney-tselding, and Housing colony and was inspected by Dr. Sonam Dawa, CEC on October 16.

 

The inspection was done along with a team of engineers headed by Tashi blacktopping, S.E, PWD, Leh.

 

Dr. Sonam Dawa expressed satisfaction over the work being carried out Shenam-nallah, Maney-Khang, and Housing Colony.

He asked to lay the gravels more uniformly for proper blacktopping at Shenam nallah road, and directed liaison officer, WAPCOS to work in coordination with the Administrator NAC, PWD, and Construction Division for marking off areas for panel location to lay wires for electricity connection at the taxi-stand parking area.

Talking about the overhead electricity wires in the main market, WAPCOS representative updated him of approximate removal of wires by the end of December month.

However, at the incident of breaking up of a portion of a blacktopping on the Skalzangling-petrol pump road, CEC asked, Stanzin Losal, ASP to lodge an FIR and to take strict action against the defaulter for digging the metalled road without seeking proper permission from the concerned department.
