Work progress of 1000 metric ton cold storage building worth ₹ 11.70 crores was inspected by Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, CEC on March 5.

It was informed that out of the total, works worth ₹ 5.54 crore has been completed and for the remaining completion of work, funds of ₹ 6.18 crore have been approved under the languishing programme.

Jamyang Tsering Namgyal instructed executive engineer and concerned engineers to complete all tendering process within a week time and sets June end as the deadline for completion of the building.

He further added that the building should be made functional this year so that the benefit of this cold storage would reach to the farmers of Ladakh.

Phuntsog Stanzin, EC Agriculture and Tsering Morup, Councillor Temisgam, Ghulam Sultan Tak, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Society, Leh, Nisar Hussain, Executive Engineer Construction, AEE Tsering Angchuk, JE Deen Mohd and concerned officials were also present.
