CEC Feroz Khan visits Hunderman-Mal village, assesses developmental works
Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil, Feroz Ahmed Khan visited border village Hunderman-Mal village on August 25 and assessed various developmental works undergoing in the village.
CEC also inaugurated the solar water lift irrigation scheme and took an on-ground assessment of the scheme. He also inspected works on a major lift irrigation scheme, Kuls, link roads, and other development works undergoing in Mal village.
Addressing the villagers CEC Khan said that it is overwhelming to see that due to the solar water lift irrigation scheme majority of agricultural land and fruit trees have been saved from the drought-like situation. He said all concerned departments and villagers deserve appreciation for their relentless efforts.
He added that solar lift irrigation is a temporary establishment and in near future after the completion of the Major Lift Irrigation plant, all issues regarding irrigation will get resolved and the maximum area of the village will get benefitted.
Detailing about the development works currently undergoing in all blocks and villages, he said, “We are fortunate that enormous developmental activities are undergoing and there is no dearth inflow of funds as well for which we are thankful to the Government of India and UT Administration.”
Khan assured that all pending development works will get completed in a phased manner and upgradation and blacktopping works on the Shikllikche-Hunderman link road shall resume at the earliest and Mal village will also get benefit from it.
Councilor, Haji Mohammad Amin and PRI members of the villages thanked LAHDC Kargil and District Administration for carrying out major development works, particularly safeguarding their agricultural land and fruit trees by the successful installation of the solar water lift Irrigation scheme. They also expressed gratitude for the construction of a link road to Mal village and a link road to Imam Bargah.
The Councillor also forwarded some demands including early completion of major water lift irrigation scheme, upgradation of the existing pump to 41 Horse Power, construction of Shilikche bypass Kharul road besides various other issues of Akchamal Constituency were also forwarded to the CEC.
