LEH :
The engineers were directed to ensure close coordination among them for uninterrupted power supply in future and scheduled a meeting at NHPC Alchi Hydel Project on October 16 under the chairmanship of Dorjay Motup, CEC.
This was decided during a meeting to avoid frequent power breaks in and around Leh during the peak hours in the evening on October 10 at Council Secretariat.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dorjay Motup, CEC. The Exn. and Engineers of PDD, PDC, STD and NHPC were present.
Gyal P Wangyal, EC Power enquired about the reason for frequent power breaks during peak hours.
He said that since all the issues including communication problems between power stations and substations have already been solved there should not be any problem in streamlining power supply.
Dorjey Motup asked PDD to remove few electric poles immediately along the newly macadamized road from Spituk to Choglamsar which can cause serious accidents.
He also directed NHPC Engineer to complete remaining transmission lines under RGGVY between Hemya –Ney, and Chumathang on priority. Also asked to include Keray, IKK, and Kumduk under their ongoing project.
Installation of transformers at newly completed water supply schemes, progress on the transmission line for Sumdha Chenmo under Project Wing and progress on GoI’s ongoing Saubhagya scheme were also reviewed and discussed.
Mumtaz Hussain, EC Animal, and Sheep Husbandry, SE PWD, Leh, Exn. Construction Division Leh and Exn. PHE Leh also attended the meeting.
