Assistant Regional Transport Office, Kargil provided various transport-related services at doorsteps during a camp organised at Sankoo Sub Division on July 8.

Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO), Kargil, Khadim Hussain said that the aim of such camps at various subdivisions is to provide transport-related services like driving license tests, license renewal, fitness certificates, permit renewal and other allied services at the doorsteps of the general public. He further informed that such camps were previously organised by the ARTO, Kargil at Zanskar and Drass subdivisions, and in the future similar camps will be held at Shargole and Shakar Chiktan subdivisions as well.

Khadim Hussain said that around 100 participants applied for the test of driving license. He also said that proper guidelines and rules have been followed during the test for the participants to get qualified. He also interacted with the participants before the test drive and made them aware of the driving rules and road safety measures.

A meeting with the transport stakeholders of Sankoo was also held regarding the rate fixation and other related issues.
