3,200 Broiler chickens were distributed on June 27 under the subsidy component LAHDC-Leh to establish Backyard Poultry units.

The program was conducted by the Animal Husbandry Department, Leh, and was launched by Executive Councillor, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee.

160 beneficiaries from the Leh district benefited with 20 birds per unit with a 50% subsidy.
