Agriculture Department Kargil distributed various high-yielding and locally adapted vegetable seedlings to farmers on May 26 from the Floriculture Garden, Baroo.

The initiative aims to enhance vegetable cultivation in the region and promote sustainable agricultural practices among local farming communities.

The event was formally inaugurated by the Chief Agriculture Officer Kargil, Ashiq Hussain Basharat, who highlighted the department's commitment to supporting farmers through timely distribution of quality planting material and technical guidance.

Chief Horticulture Officer Kargil, District Agriculture Officer, and Assistant Soil Chemist Agriculture Kargil interacted with farmers and briefed them about the scientific methods of vegetable cultivation and nutrient management for better productivity.
