Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Suhail Ahmed, convened a meeting to finalize arrangements for the upcoming 10th Yoga Day celebrations in Kargil, scheduled for June 21, 2024.

The meeting focused on organizing yoga sessions at various locations, including the main event at Khree Sultan Cho Stadium, Biamathang, as well as at all Higher Secondary Schools and Panchayat levels, under the theme "Empowerment of Women."

ADC Ahmed reviewed preparations for yoga trainers, yoga mats, seating, stage decorations, transportation, medical services, refreshments, security, promotion, publicity, and other essential logistics.

He instructed the Additional Director of Information to ensure widespread dissemination of event details through social media and other promotional channels well in advance.

The ADC directed the Education Department officials to arrange for yoga sessions at Higher Secondary Schools and tasked the District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) with deploying yoga trainers and coordinating with other departments for orderly conduct of the event.

Additionally, arrangements for refreshments were entrusted to the Assistant Officer to the Deputy Commissioner.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Medical Officer Kargil, Assistant Superintendent of Police Kargil, Chief Education Officer Kargil, Assistant Officer to the Deputy Commissioner, officials from the Information Department, District Youth Services and Sports, Culture Academy Kargil, Municipality, Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), and other relevant officers.
