Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kargil,  Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Wani inspected and reviewed the progress of the ongoing renovation/restoration works at Duzin Photang Zanskar on August 1.

Representatives of the Zanskar Buddhist Association informed the ADC that the work of restoration/renovation is in full swing and will be completed before the visit of His Holiness Dalai Lama to Zanskar.

ADC directed the concerned departments to complete all the required works by or before August 5, 2022.

EC Zanskar Affairs, Er Punchok Tashi highlighted the need for SRTC buses, tents from the Army and tarpaulins, a mobile generator for power backup, extra tankers, etc.

The concerned Executive Engineers and JEs assured that the works shall be completed one week before the proposed visit of HH Dalai Lama.

ADC Kargil also directed the PDD to ensure an uninterrupted power supply to Photang because of ongoing renovation/restoration works.
