A meeting of Hill Council, Leh with a team of Accountant General J&K was held on October 12 realizing the urgent need of compilation, audit and reconciliation of the funds allocated to Hill Council Accounts since 1995 onwards. The team was headed by Sangeeta Purswani, Deputy Accountant General.

This meeting was to ensure smooth transaction of Hill Council, Leh’s account in the financial structure of UT Ladakh from 31st October 2019. 

Gyal P Wangyal, CEC while welcoming the AG team to Leh stressed to set a timeframe for complete audit and reconciliation of the Council funds.

He asked the concerned officers to work in close coordination to ensure well maintenance of the records of Council funds in shortest possible time so that account and financial related procedure could merge into UT Ladakh smoothly. 

DC, Leh and CCF Hill Council, Leh apprised Accountant General J&K team about the steps already taken by the district administration, Leh, to ease the auditing process.

Chairman; Konchok Stanzin ,Executive Councillor for Education; Mumtaz Hussain, Executive Councillor for Minority; Sachin Kumar Vaishya , Deputy Commissioner; Padma Lundup, CPO, Leh; Jigmet Namgyal ,Chief Controller of Finance Hill Council, Leh; Zulfikar Ali ,Account Officer DC Office Leh; DTO, Leh, AD Planning DC Officer Tsewang Gyaltson and other concerned officers.
