4-day training programme on e-office commences at NIELIT Leh
The General Administration Department (GAD) of UT Ladakh in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre (NIC) in New Delhi has organised a comprehensive 4-day hands-on training program on e-office for the employees of Leh and Kargil, Directorates, and UT Secretariat staff at the NIELIT Campus in Leh.
The training aims to equip participants with User Level-I and User Level-II programs for e-office.
Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Commissioner/Secretary GAD emphasized the importance of the training program and urged participants to take full advantage of it. Sahu emphasized that the best way to learn is to ‘explore without fear’ and through ‘hands-on’ practice.
He also pointed out that e-office makes documentation processes easy, strengthens document security and confidentiality, and contributes to the vision of a carbon-neutral Ladakh by going green.
Highlighting the importance of the e-office, Sahu mentioned that Ladakh Administration has already adopted the e-office since its inception, and it has so far helped in moving thousands of files with numerous papers and receipts, resulting in enormous carbon emission savings.
During the first day of the training, Vidyavrat, Project Manager from NIC Delhi, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the e-file procedure. The trainees were introduced to the complete e-file process, document sharing, and important topics on the portal used to log into the Ladakh e-office.
Joint Director e-office, NIC Delhi, Siraj Ahmed, will provide training on e-file receipt, file module, etc. The trainees will also receive hands-on level 1 and level 2 training.
The training is a significant initiative by the UT Ladakh Administration to promote transparency, increase accountability, and promote greater coordination in the workplace.
