A three-day national level seminar on “Bahujan Hitay Bahujan Sukhay Lokanukampaya and Geo-Strategy of Himalayan Region” on the birth centenary celebration of 19th Kushok Bakula Rinpoche held on May 19 at CIBS, Choglamsar

The function was presided over by Kavinder Gupta, Deputy Chief Minister J&K State. The 20th Bakula Rinpoche Thubstan Nawang Jigmet Wangchok and a galaxy of prominent scholars and guests across the nation and abroad were also present.

Kavinder Gupta said that legendary people like Swami Vivekanand and 19th Kushok Bakula Rinpoche were the great sons of the soil who have not only illumined the time they lived in but continued to remain as inspirations for humanity.

 

The main motive of this conference was aimed at integrating the people and the culture of Himalayas for further sustainability and stability of the region and holding this important conference in Ladakh become more relevant in the wake of its strategic importance, he added

Highlighting India’s past glory when our great country was known as “ Soney Ki Chidiya”  that has unfortunately faded with the passage of time, he hoped that under the dynamic leadership of Narendra Modi,  India has started regaining its capability and competence to guide other Nations in every sphere of development.

Scholars and intellectuals also spoke on the occasion.
