₹229.52 crore sanctioned for Handang Brok–Zangpal road under CRIF scheme

Executive Councillor, LAHDC Leh and Councillor of Turtuk Constituency, Ghulam Mehdi extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of Turtuk and the entire Nubra region on the sanctioning of the Handang Brok–Zangpal Road under the CRIF scheme, with a sanctioned cost of ₹229.52 crore.

Expressing deep gratitude to the BJP Government at the Centre and the BJP-led Council in Leh, Ghulam Mehdi hailed the approval as the fulfillment of a long-pending demand that will greatly benefit the remote region.

He specifically thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari, MoS Harsh Malhotra, Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra, Chairman/CEC LAHDC Leh Adv. Tashi Gyalson, Executive Councillors, Chief Secretary UT Ladakh Dr. Pawan Kotwal, PWD Secretary Michael Desuza, DC/CEO LAHDC Leh Santosh Sukhadeve, and Chief Engineer PWD Abdul Mutalib for their collective efforts and support in making this crucial infrastructure project a reality.

The Handang Brok–Zangpal Road is expected to significantly enhance road connectivity and act as a catalyst for socio-economic development in the Nubra region.
