Mushaira held to mark holy month of Ramazan

To mark the holy month of Ramazan, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Kargil-Ladakh organised a Hamdia/Naatia Mushaira at New Academy Hall, Kargil on June 10.
Around 14 poets across the Kargil District & Leh presented their Hamdia/Naatia poetic renderings.
Aga Sayed Hasaan Arman Mosavi, Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil was the chief guest on the occasion while as Alhaj Advocate Mohd Amir, Executive Councillor was the guest of honor.
Speaking on the occasion, Aga Sayed Hasaan Arman Mosavi highlighted the importance of the holy month of Ramadan and said that it preaches Muslims about tolerance, virtue, practical guidance and spiritual wisdom.
Alhaj Advocate Mohd Amir, Executive Councillor while appreciating the poets for the effective presentation of their poetic compositions complimented the Academy successful literary event. He promised to extend all possible support from the LAHDC Kargil for the development of culture sector in Kargil.
Nazir Hussain, Deputy Secretary said that Cultural Academy Kargil as always is committed to the preservation and promotion of the local cultural heritage through various literary and cultural programmes from time to time, and said that this programme is yet another step in this regard.
He also expressed satisfaction over the creative ability of the people of letters in this part of the state and said that a few of them have brought laurels to Kargil at the state level.
He informed that J&K Cultural Academy has a number of schemes for their welfare, and said that interested people can contact him, or get the details from the Academy website.
