His Holiness 41st Sakya Trizin Rinpoche along with the people of Ladakh marks the grand celebration of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama's 80th Birthday at Jevetsal, Shey. 

 

Ladakh Buddhist Association and the Chief Representatives' Office, Tibetan Sonamling Settlement, Choglamsar, jointly organized the auspicious day. The joyous day began with the lighting up of butter lamp by the chief guest-His holiness Sakya Trizin Rinpoche. Cake cutting ceremony was followed with a word of prayer for His Holiness.

His Holiness Sakya Trizin Rinpoche speaking on the occasion directs people to follow his holiness three commitments in life. The first commitment teaches equality. No person is indifferent to other; everyone is equal despite their culture, colour, creed and caste. The sense of equality will only be seen and developed if people start to change their thinking of such evil practices. The second teaches peace and harmony in the entire world. There should be peace and unity among all the religion in the world. No one should be superior and inferior. The last and the third commitment are to increase the awareness and preserving the rich Tibet's Buddhist culture and tradition. His Holiness Sakya Trizin Rinpoche further added that His Holiness Dalai Lama's contribution for a better world, the work for peace and harmony has no limit. He urges the people to follow his teachings and to put it into the daily practise of our life. The greatest respect and gratitude to His Holiness is to follow the path he has lead and to develop the thinking and action for the better cause.

LBA, President Tsewang Thinles told devotees to follow the teaching and to lead a better human life. He announced an another day of blessing for the people of Ladakh, as His Holiness Dalai  lama will be visiting Ladakh  for a week on 27th July. His Holiness will discourse a daylong sermon to the devotees.

Ladakh Gompa Association President, Lobzang Samstan spoke about His Holiness efforts and principle to promote peace in World. 

 

Member of Parliament, Thupstan Chewang, talked about the unfading rich culture and tradition of Tibet and to stand and extend every support for the cause of Tibet. 

CEC, LAHDC, Rigzin Spalbar, expressed immense pleasure to celebrate His Holiness birth anniversary with so much of enthusiasm. He wishes his Holiness a prayer for his Long Life and all the happiness and accomplishments. He urges people to follow the sense of Brotherhood, peace, harmony, the principle which his holiness follows and preaches the rest of the world.

On the occasion, Thiksay Khenpo Rinpoche, Anjuman Moin-ul-Islam, President-Sheikh Saif-Ud –Din, Anjuman Imamiya, President, Ashraf Ali Barcha, Tibetan Administration justice Commissioner Ngawang Chodak , Local Justice Commissioner Tashi Wangdu ,Officiating Chief Representative Officer ,Tsering Dolkar, and many other dignitaries were present .

The day followed with a multi cultural programme of Tibetan and Ladakhi. 

In the end, all the devotees ceaselessly prayed for the long life of His Holiness Dalai Lama and reaffirm loyalty and devotion to him.
