The Birth Anniversary of Hazrat Imam Hassan (a.s) was celebrated at ChushotYokma Imam Bargah oganised by Youth Organisaion of Ladakh Leading Development and Demonstration under the banner of Majlis-e-Ulema on 19th January.

The celebration began with the recitation of the holy Quran. A series of competition were kept which included Quran recitation, Hafiz-e-Quran Recitation, Elocution competition and lastly a quiz competition. 

Mohseen Mutahry, Kaniz Fatima and Kulsum Khatoon won the first three positions for Tilawat Competition. Mohseen Mutahry and Masuma Muttahry won the first two positions respectively for Hafiz Quran seniors. 

Sujat Ali, Amrin Kausar and Taslim Jaan were the winners of Hafiz Quran Junior. In the Elocution competition Kousar Fatima, Kifayat Hussan and Sania Zohra won the first three positions. While, Sosan group, Maktab-e-Azahra and Mutahry group won the Quiz competition.

The celebration was addressed by Sheikh Hadi Phyang and Ashraf Ali Barcha, President Anjuman-e-Imamia Leh. Sheikh Hadi Phyang who was also the Chief Guest on the occasion spoke about the importance of celebrating the day and remembering Imam Hassan (a.s) and his contribution to Islam. 

Ashraf Ali appreciated the participation of the many girls that had taken part in the competitions. A lot of women had also attended the occasion, addressing them he said that in order to have a community with responsible individuals a lot depends on the parents as to how they bring up their child. Both of them in their speeches also wished the community people on the occasion.

At the end, the winners and participants were given away appreciation awards.
