Anti-encroachment drive at various streets in Leh was conducted on September 13 led by Sachin Kumar Vaishya, DC, Leh.

Moses Kunzang, Additional District Development Commissioner; Suresh Kumar Chib, ASP, Leh; Ravinder Razdan, EO MC Leh; Tsering Angchuk, Executive Engineer R&B Leh and officials of MVD, Leh were also present.

Sachin Kumar ordered the immediate removal of encroachment from the footpaths and irregularly parked vehicles which were causing traffic snarls.

He also inspected the ongoing construction work of Subway near SNM Hospital, and by-pass road from SNM Hospital to Police Martyr Memorial chowk Housing Colony. He directed the executing agencies to expedite the work by putting extra manpower and resources to complete the project on time. 

After a thorough checking of the entire Balkhang Chowk, Skalzangling, General Post Office and Skara roads, Sachin Kumar directed Ex-en R&B to put dividers and bollards at specific stretches. 

He also directed the ASP to ensure strict enforcement of traffic rules to enable a flawless movement of vehicles.

Sachin Kumar appealed the public for their cooperation in making Leh city free from traffic congestion.
