Poetry session “Despair and Hope” showcases Pramod Kumar Jain’s literary works

The Cultural Academy, Leh, hosted a poignant poetry session titled Despair and Hope, featuring Pramod Kumar Jain, IAS, Chairman of the New Districts Committee. The event highlighted Jain’s literary talent as he recited poems from his published book, which delves into themes of resilience and hope during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to his published works, Jain shared unpublished poems inspired by his experiences in Ladakh. The session featured readings of his works, including Lockdown, Freedom from Man, The Candle, New Hope, I Wait for a Peacock, Hello My Dear Poem, Krishna and Radha, and When I Die, among others.
The event encouraged audience participation, with Jain engaging in discussions and inviting perspectives on despair, negativity, and hope. The session provided a reflective space, emphasizing perseverance and optimism in times of adversity.
Jain also spoke about his second book, currently in progress, which he described as a literary tribute to his time in Ladakh.
The poetry session was a resounding success, blending literature, introspection, and community engagement. Jain’s thought-provoking poetry and engaging presence left a lasting impact on the audience, reinforcing the transformative power of storytelling and poetry.
The program concluded with a Tashispa song sung by the audience. Deputy Secretary of the Cultural Academy, Leh, Tsewang Paljor, felicitated Pramod Kumar Jain for his presence and contribution.
