Ladakh women’s football team to participate in Hero 27th Senior Women's National Football Championship 2022-23
A team of 22 girls from UT Ladakh will be participating in the Hero 27th Senior Women's National Football Championship 2022-23.
The team, along with four officials, Harpreet Bedi as Head Coach, Tsering Dorjay as Asst. Coach, Tashi Dolker as Manager, and Dolma Lhamo as Physiotherapist will be leaving for Chhattisgarh on March 22. This is the first time that a team from the region is participating in the senior women's national football championship.
Secretary, Youth Services and Sports, Ladakh, Ravinder Kumar flagged off the team on March 22 and wished them all the best. ‘The team comprises talented and skilled players who are eager to showcase their abilities on a national level. We are confident that they will make UT Ladakh proud and put up a strong performance in the tournament’ stated Secretary Kumar.
Extending his best wishes to the team and officials, Secretary Kumar hoped that their participation would inspire more girls in UT Ladakh to take up football and pursue their passion for sports.
