In the Inter-Battalion Ice Hockey Championship 2 Ladakh Scout lifted trophy by defeating 1 Ladakh Scout with 4-2 goals by a penalty shoot-out on January 21 at Gupuks, Leh. All the 5 battalions of the regiment participated in the tournament.

M J S Tiwana, Commandant Staff,  HQ 14 Corps was the chief guest on the occasion.

 

Colonel SK Sharma, Commandant Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre, said, “ The inter battalion championship is held every year with an aim to identify the potential and skills of young players of the battalion and grooming them further to represent at National and International level”.

He said, “We have formed 3 teams in total who will participate in the local championship. The boys are talented and have the potential to play not only in national but at international level.”

Jigmet Konchok of 1 Ladakh Scout titled the best player of the tournament.
