A total of 110 students from different schools/colleges and clubs from Leh district participated in Khelo India women's Pencak Silat League 2023.  The closing ceremony was held at Indoor Stadium Leh on August 28.

The league was organised by Ladakh Pencak Silat Association in collaboration with District Youth Service and Sports Leh.  Sports Secretary Ladakh, Ravindra Kumar was the Chief Guest and SP Leh P.D Nitya was the Guest of Honour.  

General Secretary, Ladakh Pencak Silat Ladakh, Shanaz Parveen mentioned that the sport is new to Ladakh and in 4 years around 35 players were sent for the National level, All India University games, and All India police games, and got many laurels to Ladakh

She further mentioned that the vision is to promote new sports in Ladakh and also to promote sports culture.

Guests from SAI center Kargil were also present during the ceremony.
